“Someday” is meant to be a light in the dark that seeks to hold the listener in a warm embrace, hoping that everything will be better…someday. The song is about the belief that the way out of loneliness is right around the corner. In other words, these are pure feelgood vibes, compared to Death Machine’s usual standards.
The song moves in a tranquil, low-key universe where the text is allowed to take center stage. The listener is invited to a chorus, which in the two first phrases emphasizes the theme of the song; our common quest for “the good life”…
